About ACL
|
Definition The U2000 uses the firewall to protect against attacks from different zones. The firewall filters the information sent from other computers and defends the U2000 against unauthorized users or programs such as viruses and worms. After passing through the firewall, the data is classified into four zones: U2000 server, NE, OSS, and U2000 client. Various security strategies, such as access control lists (ACLs) and packet filtering, can be configured for each zone to isolate security zones and ensure border security. You can set ACLs between areas using the firewall. Besides, the U2000 supports the following ACL settings: l Setting a system ACL to control the clients that can log in to the server. Only the clients whose IP addresses are within a specified IP address segment can log in. l Setting a proxy service ACL to control the clients that can log in to NEs. Only the clients whose IP addresses are within a specified IP address segment can log in. Benefits ACLs are set between areas using the firewall based on actual network security requirements, which helps improve security and efficiency. By setting an IP address segment and network segment on the U2000 server, you can prevent illegal clients from logging in. |
