U2000-delivered intelligent fault diagnosis can automatically diagnose faults at different layers for a variety of services. A rich set of alarms help O&M engineers locate fault points accurately. Effective handling suggestions help them eliminate faults quickly without the need for advanced skills.

On the U2000 V100R009C00, the PTN Service Diagnosis Intelligent Assistant can serve VPLS services, PWE3 services, and VPLS+PWE3 composite services. The following is an example flowchart for PWE3 services.

Engineers can perform service fault diagnosis at different layers based on the service model. The fault diagnosis involves items for the service, PW, tunnel, and link layers. If any faults are found, related NEs or links will turn red in the topology view. Engineers can then perform troubleshooting for the NEs or links quickly.

The PTN Service Diagnosis Intelligent Assistant simplifies operations in two steps.

1.    Choose Service > PWE3 Service > Manage PWE3 Service from the main menu. In the Manage PWE3 Service window, right-click a PWE3 service and choose Diagnose > Service Fault Diagnosis from the shortcut menu.

2.    In the Service Fault Diagnosis window, click Start Diagnosis. Faulty NEs and links will turn red. Diagnosis results will be displayed in the lower right pane. Clicking Export Result will generate a web-like diagnosis report.
