A: Almost everyday, trying to find the updated versions and the updates according to several platform search.

A: It seems easy to use and deal breaker for the existing tools/ways. It's always better to have some parent tool to cover all contents from sub modules.

A: At first I thought that it was pusblished for all products but in help explanation it says "The Spec Finder is a tool used for access network products." I think help section is going to be improved according to feedbacks.
And "Select from the navigation tree" is ok for now, but if the content is updated with other products, there should be some search box for navigation.

Ans: Makes work simple and easier to know the specifications by filtering the focus document.

For Spec query tab
1-        In the left side tree, it will be better if there is a field for search by any keyword to find the product or version faster especially when the tree has many nodes for many products.
And beside this field a search button, when user press on it the nodes which has the keyword will be highlighted in order to be more visible to the user, and this will be more useful especially when user does not know the full word for the product or version.
2-        We need to have clear and collapse items in Select a feature and sub feature section like the ones exist select a board section
3-        In query table, it is better to make the table colored to be more readable, like if we make the rows for the same sub feature has the same color, and the rows for the other sub feature have different color and so on OR make rows displayed with gray row then white row then gray then white and so on in order to be more readable.
4-        Make item(check box) make all choices(check boxes) appeared in [Select a feature and sub feature && select a board] sections to be all checked when check it and  unchecked when uncheck it , and to be named [check/uncheck All]
5-        For export feature , could we add export to PDF file
6-        In the query table the search results could have pages , it is better if we could directly go to specific page by typing its number in small input text and press go button beside it instead of navigating page by page till reaching the target page

3-        If product has only one version so when user press on version inside the tree the version 1 field populated with the value , and it is better if version 2 list has instead of default value empty to be value of version 1 field as it is already has only one value which is version 1 field value.

Please also add one BOM finder of complete boards of Fixed network systems as some time it is difficult to find BOM of boards.

At the moment it is not required for my daily work but surely this is great tool and would be required when comparison is needed for different tasks / events.

Like for making a decision during product's version / board upgrade and to compare it's features and sub-features or just for the knowledge.

Q2: Compared with the former way of finding feature specifications, how do you like the Spec Finder?

This is no doubt a very innovative tool that offers instant & impressive way to find the features and sub-feature of the products / it's boards. 

In my opinion, the most attractive feature of the tool is it's comparison feature that instantly help me to identify the difference(s) in highlighted if any. However, when there is no any differece then there should be message displayed like "No any difference found".

Export to Excel was a demanding requirement which is available already, would be better if export on different formats (doc, pdf) are available.

Please consider below suggestions from me:

1) As I mentioned in Q2) above, when there is no any differece then there should be message displayed like "No any difference found". 

2) Once product's specific version(s), feature(s) and subfeature(s) are selected, the board(s) displayed should have linked to their document description so one can simply click on it to view its details on technical documents in a seperate window.

3) Same sort of tool must be designed for Huawei's other products (wireless) so all can get benefit by using it.

4) The COMMAND FINDER tool like here (http://support.huawei.com/online ... er/Command?module=3) can also be linked in this tool for the users looking to query the commands.

5) The ALARM FINDER tool like here (http://support.huawei.com/onlinetoolsweb/infofinder/Warn?module=2) can also be linked in this tool for the users looking to query the alarms.

6) Under the Help on the top right of the Spec Finder tool page, help guide is helpful but I would recomment to add a short animatition showing how to use this tool. This will be impressive and very easy for the viewer to understand how to query and compare the Spec with few clicks.

7) Export on different formats (doc, pdf) can be made available.

8) On the left drop down navigation page, a 'search' field for finding specific product/version can be added.

9) Only one 'Feature' can be selected throught drop-down menu,  multiple selected should be allowed.

10) Links to each product’s (MA5616, MA5800 & MA5633 etc.) documentation should be added on the bottom. 

11) Link to the related 'Bookshelf' should be added on the bottom.

12) ‘Tools Bookshelf’ [mentioned here http://support.huawei.com/carrie ... 179&path=DBN-05] containing other useful tool should also be added.

13) Multimedia Bookshelf of these products can also be linked here on the bottom.

14) This configuration tool should be made available on ‘Huawei Technical Support’ App so we will have this tool 'on the move' for our ease.

I like this activity as such activities will not only enhance the motivation of employees/participants but also will improve the quality of products.
