As WLAN technologies develop rapidly, more and more enterprises deploy wireless local area networks (WLANs). However, as traditional Fat APs are independent and autonomous, and cannot be uniformly managed and controlled, management and maintenance of the Fat APs are costly. Additionally, apart from enterprise egress gateway devices, independent AC devices are also required in the WLAN deployment, thus increasing investment costs. Therefore, the AR router that integrates wireless AC functions becomes an ideal option for enterprises to reduce costs. The AR router can function as a wireless AC to build WLANs by using the "AC+Fit AP" architecture, or as the enterprise egress gateway to connect to the wide area network (WAN).

Using the AR router as the AC, we can obtain the following features:

l  Except for several functions such as inter-AC roaming, the wireless AC functions of the AR router are similar to the product functions of the AC6005 and AC6605.

l  In V200R005C32 or later versions, the AR supports two Fit APs when no wireless controller license is loaded.
