1. Application Description 1) Service Description Before the base station commissioning, get ready the data configuration script for the base station. How can you prepare the data configuration script for a base station? First, obtain the related network planning data, including the following aspects:
- Device configuration planning, such as the clock and time planning
- Transmission networking planning, such as layer-2 or layer-3 networking planning and IP address planning
- Radio network planning, such as the cell ID planning and neighboring cell planning
Secondly, based on the onsite tools, application scenario, and number of base stations, prepare the data configuration script by following the operations described in an initial configuration guide. 2) Documentation Description 1. You can choose one initial configuration guide based on the type of base station. The types of micro base stations include:
- NodeB: BTS3911E
- eNodeB: BTS3202E, BTS3203E, and BTS3205E
2. XXX Initial Configuration Guide: provides guidance for you to configure data for base stations in all scenarios of initial network deployment by using the CME (single or batch base station creation) or MML commands. 3. The process of preparing the data configuration script for a base station is the same in different application scenarios. The process consists of the following procedures:
- Configuring basic data
- Configuring device data
- Configuring transmission data
- Configuring radio data
4. CME functions used during preparation of the data configuration script are described in the prerequisites:
- You can press F1 on the keyboard to view the CME Help for the detailed function operations, such as creating a planned data area and verifying configuration data consistency.
- You can refer to a CME product documentation to learn about the CME positioning and working principles and understand how the CME supports configuration of the NodeB/eNodeB.
