Hello:
I already posted another messages but it seems it got lost or deleted or something... I was just asking whats the current status of Huawei UMTS/HSPA modems regarding Snow Leopard? I would like to know which modems will be supported and when new drivers / software will be released? Also it would be nice if Huawei decides to support Apple's new WWAN infrastructure in the OS, to show status, signal level and connect/disconnect in the menubar icon much like WLAN / Airport do. It seems Apple already include support in their WWAN software but Huawei drivers doesnt seem to register with them.
Right now, in my experience with E220, the status seems to be:
- Modem drivers work in 32 bits when manually installed, it doesnt work in 64 bits. - OS X Mobile Partner does not work at all. - Apple WWAN OS integration doesnt work.
Thanks and regards
