How to configure an IP address for an AR interface

IP addresses of an interface include the primary IP address and secondary IP addresses. An interface can be configured with only one primary IP address and multiple secondary IP addresses. When an interface of the AR connects to different network segments, you can configure secondary IP addresses.
-Command line mode:
[Huawei] interface gigabitethernet 1/0/0
[Huawei-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 //Configure the primary IP address as 1.1.1.1/24.
[Huawei-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] ip address 2.2.2.1 255.255.255.0 sub //Configure the secondary IP address as 2.2.2.1/24.
Note:
Only Layer 3 interfaces can be configured with IP addresses. Some Ethernet interfaces support Layer 2 and Layer 3 mode switching. For example, Ethernet0/0/0 on the AR150&AR200 is a Layer 2 Ethernet interface by default. You can run the undo portswitch command to switch the Layer 2 mode to Layer 3 mode. After switching, the interface can be assigned an IP address.
[Huawei] interface ethernet 0/0/0
[Huawei-Ethernet0/0/0] undo portswitch
[Huawei-Ethernet0/0/0] ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
[Huawei-Ethernet0/0/0] ip address 1.1.2.1 255.255.255.0 sub
