Selecting APs and antennas based on site conditions

Huawei APs include indoor, indoor distributed, and outdoor APs. Select appropriate APs and antennas based on customers' requirements for signal coverage and site conditions.
- Use indoor settled APs with omnidirectional antennas in indoor environments with small areas, dense users, and high capacity demands, such as meeting rooms, offices, airports, and bars. Use indoor distributed APs to provide hotspot coverage in indoor environments with a small number of users, such as office buildings, hotels, and dormitories. Select APs based on customer requirements.
- In outdoor scenarios, use high-power outdoor APs with high-gain directional or omnidirectional antennas. Directional antennas are usually placed on building roofs to provide signal coverage for opposite buildings. Omnidirectional antennas can be placed in open areas such as parks and residential communities.
