Channel planning for WLAN devices

There are limited non-overlapping channels on the 2.4 GHz frequency band. If channels of neighboring APs conflict, channel interference occurs and user access experience is degraded.
You are advised to plan channels as follows:
- Make an AP channel plan before performing data configurations. You are advised to manually configure AP channels. Automatic channel adjustment is not recommended.
- If channels of neighboring APs from other vendors conflict with those of Huawei APs, negotiate with the vendors to change overlapping channels.
- Use spatial staggered channels to increase network capacity.
- Channels of neighboring APs are staggered. For example, the 2.4 GHz radio channels are deployed in a fixed sequence of 1-6-11-1-6-11.
- The 5 GHz frequency band is preferred when it is allowed. On the 5 GHz frequency band, non-overlapping channels in HT20 mode include channels 149, 153, 157, 161, and 165.
