AP naming convention

For APs produced before 2013, the meanings of each letter or digit in an AP's name (for example, AP6510DN) are described as follows:
- 6: product class and application scenario (2: SOHO; 3: SMB; 5: economical model; 6: standard model; 7: enhanced model; 8: reserved; 9: special scenario)
- 5: product type (0: indoor settled AP; 1: indoor industrial AP; 3: indoor distributed AP; 5: outdoor AP; 6: bridge AP; 2/7/8/9: reserved)
- 1: product evolution
- 0: reserved for product differences
- D: frequency band mode (D: dual-band; S: single-band)
- N: antenna type (N: normal antennas; E: smart antennas)

For APs produced after 2013, the meanings of each letter or digit in an AP's name (for example, AP5030DN) are described as follows:
- 5: product class and application scenario (2: SOHO; 3: SMB; 5: indoor economical model; 6: indoor standard model; 7: indoor enhanced model; 8: outdoor model; 9: special scenario)
- 0: product type (0: AP with built-in antennas; 1: AP with external antennas)
- 3: product evolution (1/2: 802.11n AP; 3: 802.11ac Wave 1 AP; 5: 802.11ac Wave 2 AP)
- 0: reserved for product differences
- D: frequency band mode (D: dual-band; S: single-band)
- N: antenna type (N: normal antennas; E: smart antennas)
