Principles of the DHCP simulation feature

In Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) simulation, IP address application from the DHCP server is performed by simulating a DHCP client on the access node instead of by using a real client. DHCP simulation tests network connectivity between the access node and DHCP server and verifies the DHCP configurations on the DHCP relay, DHCP proxy, and DHCP server. It also verifies the connectivity between the access node and remote services by pinging a remote server.
