How to release the storage space of an S series switch

For S series switches (except S1700 switches), you can run the reset recycle-bin, delete /unreserved, or rmdir command to delete outdated and unnecessary files to release the storage space.
Note:
Exercise caution when you run these commands because files cannot be restored after being deleted.
1. Run the reset recycle-bin command in the recycle bin to clear the recycle bin to release the storage space.
reset recycle-bin //After this command is executed, the switch displays a message each time before it deletes a file or directory asking whether you want to delete it. You can select Y or N to confirm the deletion.
Before clearing the recycle bin, you can run the dir /all command to view information about all files and directories in the storage medium, including those moved to the recycle bin. Files in the recycle bin are marked by brackets ([ ]).

2. Run the delete /unreserved command to delete outdated and unnecessary files permanently to release the storage space.
delete /unreserved flash:/test/test.txt

3. Run the rmdir command to delete outdated and unnecessary directories permanently to release the storage space.
rmdir test //Select Y as prompted to delete the directories.
