Method used to check the WWN of Fibre Channel HBA ports when the device is running under various common operating systems:
1. Windows system
In a Window system, you can use the management software provided by the Fibre Channel HBA card vendor to check the WWN of the fiber adapter. The WWN is as follows:
Qlogic: SANsurfer
Emulex: HBAnyware
2. SUSE Linux 9
Check /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/* and use adapter-port as a keyword to search for the WWN of Fibre Channel HBA ports.
# cat /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/* | grep adapter-port
scsi-qla0-adapter-port=21000018822c8a2c;
scsi-qla1-adapter-port=21000018822c8a2d;
3. SUSE Linux 10
Check contents of the /sys/class/fc_host/host*/port_name file and obtain the WWN of corresponding Fibre Channel HBA cards.

4. RedHat Linux AS4

The fcinfo command is provided. You can use fcinfo hba-port to check the WWN of Fibre Channel HBA ports:
# fcinfo hba-port
Check the path and connection status of ports on the Fibre Channel card.
# luxadm -e port
7. HP-UX
Run # ioscan -funC fc // to find Fibre Channel HBA cards and use fcmsutil to check the information of Fibre Channel HBA cards.
# fcmsutil /dev/fcd0(1)
8. AIX
Use # lsdev -Cc adapter to find Fibre Channel HBA cards.
# lscfg -vpl fcs0 |grep network address
9. Note
The first digit of the WWN of Emulex's HBA cards is 1.
The first digit of the WWN of Qlogic's HBA cards is 2.
The first digit of the WWN of HP Tachyon HBA cards is 5.
10. Connection Options of the Qlogic parameter:
0 - Loop only
1 - Point-to-point only
2 - Loop preferred, otherwise point-to-point.
You are advised to choose loop only when the direct attached storage is used and choose point-to-point only when the storage is connected to the Fibre Channel switch.
11. Data rate
This configuration item defines the rate on the Fibre Channel port:

1 �?2 Gbit/s
