E9000 introduction

The E9000 is a blade server chassis product developed by Huawei. It provides 12U space and can house E9000 series compute nodes, storage nodes, and resource expansion nodes. The E9000 has the following features and functions:
? The E9000 chassis houses eight full-width compute nodes or 16 half-width compute nodes for flexible slot configuration.
? A half-width slot supports a compute node with up to 2 sockets and 24 DIMMs or two compute nodes with up to 2 sockets and 8 DIMMs respectively.
? A full-width slot supports a compute node with up to 4 sockets and 48 DIMMs.
? The E9000 chassis supports a maximum of 64 CPUs (768 cores).
? The E9000 chassis supports a maximum of 24 TB memory.
? The midplane provides a maximum switch capacity of 15.6 Tbit/s.
? The E9000 chassis provides four (two pairs of) slots for switch modules that support Ethernet, FC, FCoE, and IB protocols and provide pass-through I/O ports.
? The chassis is equipped with two management modules in active/standby mode. The management modules support active/standby switchovers, hot swapping, and various protocols including IPMI 2.0, SNMP v3, SNMP trap v1, SNMP trap v2c, SNMP trap v3, SSL, and SSH. The management modules are used to manage devices in the chassis.
? An LCD on the chassis front panel is used to set basic chassis information or monitor the operating status of the chassis and components in the chassis.
