CX310 introduction

The CX310 includes a physical switching plane: 10GE converged switching plane.
10GE L2/L3 switching:
? Supports 16 x 10GE uplink ports and 8 x 8G FC uplink ports.
? Supports 32 x 10GE downlink ports (each half-width slot: 2 x 10GE).
? Supports L2/L3 switching.

Stacking:
? Provides 1 x 40GE port that is connected to the midplane for stacking modules.
? If you need higher stacking bandwidth, you can add stacking connections by using panel ports.
? A maximum of four switch modules in a chassis can be stacked.

Converged switching:
? Supports DCB (PFC, ETS, and DCBX) and TRILL.
? Supports FIP Snooping Bridge (FSB).

The two CX310s in a pair of slots can operate independently, in 1+1 redundancy mode, or in load sharing mode by working with the OS and NICs.
